It's Official- we're in Romantic Homes magazine!

Oh man! I'm trying to be calm, but I'm ecstatic! My tea themed bracelet (the reverse side is blue willow tea pots and cups) I made for Karen-sweetnecessi-teas.com, was chosen to be in the Romantic Homes December issue. We've known for awhile, but didn't announce it in case it didn't really make the cut. Well, I've seen it for myself (thank you, Jeanne!) and am very excited to share this news with you all. Ellenay Designs, the name didn't make it, but you can only get it through Karen anyway, so check it out there! If you subscribe to Romantic Homes, it's on page 27.
I just have to share this. About a year ago, I was talking to my Mom about this magazine. It really is my favorite and I even display favorite issues on an easle in my kitchen. I held up an issue and told my Mom that I really wanted to be in this magazine someday. It was my secret dream that I shared with her. For it to become a reality has been fabulous! I can't explain it.
Lastly, I just want to say, do what you love and never stop dreaming!

Have a great week!

Show Highlights

I'm so excited about how the craft show went today. It began with the staff walking around to the vendors offering us coffee and raspberry scones while we set up. This was a great beginning to a great show. It was very busy and we sold almost the entire new Divine Designs Collection! I was still in the process of adding them to the website, but now I will add new ones instead. I have more crosses, coins, keys etc. on the way. The First United Methodist Church is a wonderful host. I will definitely make plans to be there every year.
We had such a great time! Sarah Clauson's Photography is just gorgeous. We had fun teaming up to showcase our work individually as well as our combined effort with custom photo jewelry. My sweet friend, Jen, is one in a million! She came to the show to help me early on a Sat. morning and stayed for the show and then helped me take it all down. What an awesome, selfless friend she is. Thank you, Jen! Love ya, girl.
I look forward to making new jewelry for the Divine Designs Collection and hope to have it ready sometime this week.

Warm hugs,
Lori

Divine Designs-The Metal Collection

Here are some of the new fall/winter designs I have been working on. These will be for sale in the etsy store soon and also at the craft bazaar in Niceville this coming Sat. I'm having trouble with my website which is why they will be in the etsy store only for now.
As many of you know, my faith is a big part of who I am. I grew up the daughter of a Pastor, but it is so much more than that. That was just a gift to have such a perfect childhood. As an adult, it is also my faith, my most important goal in life as a mother to pass on, my reason for being. I love the fact that these new designs really let me express that in my jewelry.
I came across these vintage brass crosses and nautical designs, and I fell in love with the 3 dimensionsal look of them under glass framed in silver. I have decided to start a whole collection of these and have named them, "Divine Designs-The Metal Collection". They are Spiritual, for the most part, and they are my favorite. I cannot really explain how much I enjoyed working on these. On my blog you will find the verse, "Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish thou the work of our hands." I really want this verse to be true in my life. I hope you enjoy them and feel His love through my eyes.

With joy~

Glorious England

We've been at it again with our quick trips to Europe. This time we visited Bath, England. It was sooo beautiful! We were there for only 2 full days but saw soo much. The true highlight was the Jane Austen Centre! I had no idea we would be going when I posted about my idea for Jane Austen themed jewelry. Thank you to all of you who encouraged my ideas on that. I did get to speak with the shopkeeper there who may be interested in my ideas too! I'm thrilled! I will show them when I have them ready. Bath is a magnificent city! We toured the Roman baths, Sydney Gardens(Jane Austens favorite park)Sally Lunn's, great museums, Pulteney Bridge shops and garden and more. It was our favorite trip so far. I thought I'd share some pictures of our trip here with you.

Cheers!
